Hurricane Sandy Project Update - December 5, 2012

As you all know, TH Books for Kids has been collecting donations during the months of November and December to help raise funds for Hurricane Sandy victims. All the money will be donated to a school that was devastated by the storm. Tyler has chosen Guardian Angel School located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. It's a Pre-K through 8th grade school that saw tremendous devastation.
A word from the school principal, Miss Maureen McElduff:
"New York's Guardian Angel School was greatly impacted by Hurricane Sandy. We completely lost our entire lower level of our school which housed our Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms, school cafeteria, kitchen, courtyard and other smaller miscellaneous classrooms. All the contents of both classrooms were completely lost, including their classroom libraries."
The photos below will give you a glimpse into the devastation that Guardian Angel School has experienced. Tyler will be dropping off the TH Books for Kids donation to the school when he is in New York in January.
